In the framework of his official visit to Slovakia (3-6 / 12/2015), Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has the Deputy Prime Minister co-chaired Slovakia Lubomir Vazny Economic Cooperation Forum Vietnam - Slovakia with the participation of 100 participants representing agencies, economic organizations, corporations and enterprises of the two countries.

At the forum, said the two Deputy Prime Ministers confirmed the relationship good traditions between the two countries in recent years. Together, these recent positive developments, especially the process of deeper integration of Vietnam and Slovakia have created favorable opportunities and enormous economic cooperation for both parties invest now, increase the exchange of goods into their respective markets, creating a bridge to the third countries and the European community and ASEAN.

Deputy Prime Minister wants two partners, the two sides continue to strengthen understanding and cooperation that results in the areas of traditional strengths can complement each other, which emphasizes the industry sector support, energy, health, agriculture, infrastructure, textiles, footwear, agricultural products.

Representatives of the two sides now appreciated cooperation relations between the two countries, as this forum can make a new step in promoting cooperation in the areas of strengths and needs two sides.

Slovakia businesses that are potential areas for the two countries could exploit and cooperation in the coming period, while requesting the two governments to create the best conditions for the two sides can now connect, establish cooperation.

Currently bilateral trade volume of the two countries reached US $ 400 million / year. Slovakia is the biggest investor in Central Eastern Europe in Vietnam with 5 projects with total registered capital of 235 million USD, which highlights the investment project has built a complex of hotels, offices in HCMC and an industrial park in Hoa Binh province. Vietnam enterprises are also interested in Slovakia market, as represented by the FPT Corporation invested nearly $ 300 million in FPT Slovakia currently trading efficiency in the software field.

At the forum, businesses, leaders of the sector ministries and localities have the paper presented on the potential, strengths and needs for investment and trade.

The local business representatives of the two sides also had connection, private meeting following the auxiliary industry sector and automotive components manufacturing, agriculture and food processing, as well as the field of energy other area.
