H.E. MR. DO MINH HUNG
 AMBASSADOR OF THE SOCIALIST REPBULIC OF VIET NAM TO THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN & NORTHER IRELAND, CONCURRENTLY AMBASSADOR TO IRELAND

          Mr. Do Minh Hung graduated with a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the Diplomatic University (now the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam) in 1988; completed a postgraduate training certificate in Political Science at the University of Birmingham, UK in 1994 and a Master's degree in Diplomacy and International trade from Monash University, Australia in 1998.

          Mr. Do Minh Hung started his diplomatic career in 1992 and has held various positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 2001 – 2004, he worked at the Permanent Mission of Viet Nam to the UN and international organizations in Geneva, Switzerland. From 2011 – 2014, he held the position of Deputy Chief of Mission of Viet Nam to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Vietnamese Delegation to the European Union. He held the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to the State of Israel from 2019-2022 before being appointed Director General of the European Department in July 2022. In June 2024, he was appointed to be the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Norther Ireland, concurrently Ambassador to Ireland

          Mr. Do Minh Hung was born on January 28, 1967 in Hanoi, Viet Nam. He has a family and two children./.
